Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 September 2026. These terms apply to every booking of AELIA CARE services made on or after that date.

1. Who we are

AELIA CARE P.C. (AELIA CARE Ι.Κ.Ε.), VAT EL803355377, G.E.MI. 195213103000, registered in Greece. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we provide and what we do not

AELIA CARE provides non-medical travel companion and support services in Greece: accompaniment on journeys, to appointments and for everyday needs, practical assistance, language support and coordination.

We expressly do not provide any medical or nursing act, administration of medicines, patient transport, or medical advice or diagnosis.

We do not provide guided tours, sightseeing guiding or commentary on archaeological sites, museums or monuments; in Greece that activity is reserved to licensed tourist guides. We do not organise group excursions or tour programmes.

We do not sell, resell, book on your behalf or package accommodation, transport or activities. Our services are not a package and not a linked travel arrangement within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302. Where we help you compare options, you contract and pay the provider directly.

3. Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed only when a deposit of 50 percent of the agreed price has been received and a vetted companion has been assigned. Until both conditions are met, no booking exists.

All prices are quoted in euro. Greek VAT at the applicable rate is added where due. The balance, the accepted payment methods and the payment deadline are stated in the written booking confirmation. Amounts not paid by the stated deadline bear statutory default interest.

4. Cancellation and changes

Cancellation by the client:

  • more than 48 hours before the agreed start: the deposit is refunded, less any third-party costs already irrevocably incurred and evidenced;
  • between 48 and 24 hours before the agreed start: 50 percent of the agreed price is payable;
  • less than 24 hours before the agreed start, or if the client does not appear at the agreed place and time: 100 percent of the agreed price is payable.

Changes requested by the client are accommodated where a suitable companion is available; if they are not, the cancellation terms above apply.

If AELIA CARE cancels or cannot perform, we first offer a replacement companion or an alternative date. If neither is accepted, every amount paid for the affected service is refunded in full. Beyond that refund we are not liable for the client’s other travel costs.

Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including strike, natural disaster, civil or military authority measures, epidemic and failure of transport infrastructure.

Right of withdrawal: for contracts concluded at a distance, Greek Law 2251/1994 and Directive 2011/83/EU give consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal, but Article 3-10 of that Law and Article 16(l) of the Directive exclude leisure and related services to be supplied on a specific date or during a specific period. Our companion services are booked for specific dates and therefore fall within that exclusion; the cancellation terms above apply instead.

5. Client obligations

The client must give accurate information about mobility, language and support needs before the service starts, so that a suitable companion can be assigned. Health information is processed only where strictly necessary and as described in our Privacy Policy. If the information given is materially inaccurate and a suitable companion cannot therefore perform the service, the service is treated as a no-show.

The companion may decline to carry out any act that is medical or nursing in nature, that is unlawful, or that would put either person at risk.

6. Liability

AELIA CARE is liable for damage caused by its own fault in performing the service, in accordance with Greek law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Greek law.

Save for the above, our total liability for any one booking is limited to the price paid for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of holiday enjoyment, missed appointments, missed transport or loss of profit.

We are not liable for the acts, omissions or quality of third parties you contract with directly, including carriers, hotels, clinics and activity providers.

7. Complaints and applicable law

Complaints should be sent to [email protected] and are answered within 15 working days. These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of the place of our registered seat have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the right of a consumer to bring proceedings before the courts of his or her own place of residence where mandatory law so provides.

Consumers may also address the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (Synigoros tou Katanaloti) or another certified alternative dispute resolution body.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force at the time of booking applies to that booking.
